Mannele invites you to explore the delicious world of gingerbread over more than 800 m². Dive into a playful and interactive journey where your five senses will be awakened. Explore various animated spaces to discover the origins of gingerbread.
The visit to the Gingerbread Palace and Decoration Workshop includes :
- The free visit of the Gingerbread Palace : Dive into an enchanting journey tracing the origins and traditions of Alsatian gingerbread.
- The Fortwenger Gingerbread Factory* : Observe the production through the windows. Explanatory panels and a video are permanently available.
- The tasting : A tasting basket is available to visitors.
- The Mannele decoration workshop : A gingerbread in the shape of a Mannele is given to you at the entrance. Decorate it with icing and colored dragees at the end of the tour and take it with you. (No minimum age required: parents decorate for the little ones)

Undated entry ticket, valid for one visit between the purchase date and 30/09/2025. Non-exchangeable, non-refundable ticket. Ticket to be downloaded, printed, and presented at the museum entrance.
Practical information: The Palace is open daily from February to December: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (last entry at 11:30 am) - 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (last entry at 5:30 pm). Sundays and public holidays: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (last entry at 11:30 am) - 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (last entry at 5:30 pm). Closed on December 25th and January 1st. Annual closure from early January to mid-February.
*According to the production schedule - the factory is closed on weekends. Please contact us to know the factory’s opening hours.
