Discovery walk with snowshoes on the Hohneck stubble

La Bresse is a town located near the German border. In the heart of the Ballons des Vosges regional nature park, the La Bresse–Hohneck ski resort offers ski slopes in the middle of lakes, mountain ridges and forests. The Hautes Chaumes are located between the Trois Fours to the north and the Rainkopf to the south. They are a fine example of open formations in the subalpine level of the Vosges massif.

This group of "high stubble" is punctuated by subalpine beech forests, peat bogs and spring areas. The Hohneck, with its altitude of over 1,200 metres, is also one of the most famous and most visited of the Vosges ridges! In the middle of its pine forest, you can walk on the most prestigious hiking trails in the Vosges. From its summit, the highest in the Vosges department, you will overlook the Alsace plain and make out the Black Forest and even the Alps in clear weather.

All our guides have high-level training which guarantees their skills to supervise, lead, lead, teach, and safely train people or groups in the mountains.

Commenté le 24/02/2023

The meeting point was changed which caused us some stress, but with the help of the guide I managed to get to the starting point. It was a very nice walk with beautiful views. The guide was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot of interesting things about the history, nature, flora and fauna included.
