Pearl of the Vineyard day tour from Strasbourg

Haut-Rhin is full of little medieval villages where every stone tells a story. This one-day tour will allow you to unlock the secrets of these villages, among the most beautiful in France, and enjoy a wine tasting at a local winemaker.

  • Explore 4 villages on the Alsace wine route: Ribeauvillé, RIquewihr, Kaysersberg, and Eguisheim
  • Wine tasting with a local winemaker (non-alcoholic drinks available)
  • Discover the wonderful landscapes along the wine route in a convertible coach

On the programme

Let’s head south! Departing from Strasbourg, our first stop will be in Bergheim, a superb village on the wine route that contains many hidden wonders within its medieval walls.

You will then have the opportunity to visit the charming town of Ribeauvillé, the ancient fief of the Lords of Ribeaupierre. History will call out to you on every one of its pedestrian streets!

After a visit to Hunawihr and a photo stop in front of its famous fountain, you will head to a local winemaker to taste traditional Alsatian wines.

Enjoy the lunch break in the village of Riquewihr, one of the best known in the region, thanks especially to its idyllic location at the heart of the vineyard.

The tour will continue to two villages that are equally famous for their historical character: Kaysersberg and Eguisheim.

These two villages have been elected “French’s Favorite Villages”, a famous French program celebrating each year the French’s favorite villages. Kaysersberg won the edition in 2017 and Eguisheim in 2013.

We will head back to Strasbourg at the end of the afternoon, after a day filled with great memories and beautiful images, during which you will have discovered the most beautiful landscapes on the famous Wine Route.

Christmas Market Pearl of the Vineyard

Commenté le 16/12/2024

Our family truly loved this Pearl of the vineyard tour. I booked the tour online without any issues several weeks before we arrived in Strasbourg. The Christmas markets in towns we visited were all decorated and the food and mulled wine was delicious.. I would definitely recommend this tour. The winery we visited was a delightful experience.

Excellent way to see the region

Commenté le 11/09/2024

This is a great way to see the region and the included 4 villages. Be aware that it is a very long day and could be too much for some, but all stops are worthwhile and you won’t find a more efficient way to visit the four villages. Given the tour groups tend to speak many languages, the tour narration comes from the recordings in 11 languages, not from the driver. This was a non-issue for me, but some may prefer a live narrative. Our driver Martin was great and available for in-village recommendations. The wine tasting was fun and informative. We felt we had adequate time in each village. Overall, this tour represents good value and is highly recommended, especially for those short on time to take things at a more leisurely pace.
