Pearl of the Vineyard day tour from Strasbourg

Haut-Rhin is full of little medieval villages where every stone tells a story. This one-day tour will allow you to unlock the secrets of these villages, among the most beautiful in France, and enjoy a wine tasting at a local winemaker.

Duration : 10 h

  • Explore 4 villages on the Alsace wine route: Ribeauvillé, RIquewihr, Kaysersberg, and Eguisheim
  • Wine tasting with a local winemaker (non-alcoholic drinks available)
  • Discover the wonderful landscapes along the wine route in a convertible coach

On the programme

Let’s head south! Departing from Strasbourg, our first stop will be in Bergheim, a superb village on the wine route that contains many hidden wonders within its medieval walls.

You will then have the opportunity to visit the charming town of Ribeauvillé, the ancient fief of the Lords of Ribeaupierre. History will call out to you on every one of its pedestrian streets!

After a visit to Hunawihr and a photo stop in front of its famous fountain, you will head to a local winemaker to taste traditional Alsatian wines.

Enjoy the lunch break in the village of Riquewihr, one of the best known in the region, thanks especially to its idyllic location at the heart of the vineyard.

The tour will continue to two villages that are equally famous for their historical character: Kaysersberg and Eguisheim.

These two villages have been elected “French’s Favorite Villages”, a famous French program celebrating each year the French’s favorite villages. Kaysersberg won the edition in 2017 and Eguisheim in 2013.

We will head back to Strasbourg at the end of the afternoon, after a day filled with great memories and beautiful images, during which you will have discovered the most beautiful landscapes on the famous Wine Route.

Magical trip through wine route

Commenté le 21/07/2024

This was an amazing day trip with spotlessly clean transport and an excellent host. Direct phone calls initially due to an issue with pick up point resolved efficiently. Then in a small group we were off on tour with all I formation and timings laid out. Great guide maps to assist the stops but it was also the tours and information , via great headsets, of the 'drive through' villages and sites that added a great extra interest. The stop at the war memorial was particularly pointent and thought provoking to highlight the suffering of the area in WW2. Also great historical info on impact of 30 years war and revolts / sieges really highlighted the turbulent history of this area. But the beauty of the villages cannot be understated. A great visit to the Domaine Specht with a very knowledgeable guide who wonderfully took all of our very technical questions comparing the wine making fermentation process to whisky. Lovely food at a restaurant in lunch time visit where my wife had the best Alsace quiche ever. A longish day but thoroughly worth the money and very enjoyable. Highly recommended and definitely book direct with Tour.Alsace
